The Studio at Washington Commons is a natural light, lifestyle studio space. It is hosted by Mary Beth Wood with Mary Beth Wood Photography. It has 12 foot ceilings, and four large windows with sheer curtains to let in perfectly even, bright, filtered light. Each window has white wooden blinds that can be closed for more directional or moodier lighting. They can also be closed entirely to create the perfect setting for a strobe-lit, studio atmosphere. The studio can easily be converted to a strobe/backdrop studio upon request. There is a small sitting room with one window, that can also be used as a dressing room. The building has two small shared kitchen spaces, and two shared bathroom areas.
The studio is located on the corner of College Street and Hardeman Ave. It is catty corner from Washington Park, across the street from the library, and the post office. There is plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot, a fenced in courtyard with a brick path and vine covered brick walls. The studio number is 203. It is upstairs, to the right. There is not an elevator, so the upstairs space is not handicap accessible.
